I run a consulting business. I built the software I couldn't buy.
I'm Anselmo. I run FMLY Consulting, a software consultancy in New Jersey. Like every service business, I live on three things: tracked hours, organized projects, and clients who pay on time.
Every tool solved one slice and charged like it solved all of it.
For years I cobbled it together: a timer here, a project board there, invoices out of some accounting tool, client contacts in my inbox. Every tool I evaluated wanted to solve one slice of my business and charge me like it solved all of it. And the "affordable" tier always had the one feature I needed sitting one tier up.
I'm a .NET developer by trade. At some point the calculation flipped: building the tool I actually wanted was less painful than continuing to rent tools I didn't. So I built it. First for FMLY, then, once it ran my own business end to end, for every service business stuck in the same spot.
What running FMLY on SB Assistant actually looks like
Time Tracker
A timer runs while I'm in client work. At month-end, those hours flow straight into the invoice. No export, no re-keying. Recurring entries cover the standing meetings so I never log the same thing twice.
Project Management
Every engagement gets a board: client work and my own products alike, including this SaaS and a tabletop RPG I'm building with my family. Same tool for billable and unbillable work. It also has an MCP endpoint, so AI assistants can work the board directly. My favorite use: talking through an implementation with Claude on a drive, and finding the tasks already filed on the project when I sit back down.
Invoicing + CRM
Invoices go out on the 1st. Prospects for SB Assistant itself live in the CRM. I sell the product using the product.
Why it's $14 flat
I priced it the way I wished someone had priced software for me. $14 per seat per month. Every app included. No tiers, no feature gates, no "contact sales." A 30-day trial with no credit card, and if you leave, your data sits read-only for 90 days so you're never held hostage.
I can price it this way because we're a tiny company with no sales team to feed. That's not a limitation. That's the point.

Consultants, agencies, trades, anyone who bills for their time and wants one login and one bill instead of a pile of apps. If that's you, start free. If you want to see how it stacks up against what you're using now: SB vs Harvest or SB vs Toggl.
