Frequently asked
Is there a free tier?
No free-forever tier. Instead, every account starts with a 30-day free trial of the full Bill feature set — no credit card. When you're ready, you pick Track ($7) or Bill ($15) per active seat.
What happens when my trial ends?
If you haven't added a card, your account becomes read-only — you and your team can still see everything, but you can't add or change data. It stays that way for 90 days; after that the account is cancelled and its data is permanently deleted (records we must keep for legal/tax reasons are anonymized). Add a card during that window to reactivate instantly.
What's the difference between Track and Bill?
Track is time tracking + projects + approvals only — no money UI at all. Bill adds invoicing, dunning, profitability reports, per-user rates, and the client portal. Pick Track if you only need timesheets; pick Bill if you bill clients through us.
How does billing work?
Per active user, per month. Pay annually and save ~22% on Track ($7) and ~21% on Bill ($15). Going paid bills every active (non-client) seat — there's no free allowance carried over from the trial. Client-portal users are always free.
Do you charge for inactive users?
No. Deactivate a user in Settings → Users and they stop counting toward your seat total on the next billing cycle.
Can I switch between Track and Bill later?
Yes, any time. Upgrading turns money features on immediately (users may need to re-login). Downgrading from Bill freezes invoicing and dunning but preserves all your data.
Is my data secure?
Each tenant is isolated at the database level. Backups run daily. We're hosted on Azure with data in US regions only.
