Bill clients automatically with recurring invoices
For the work you bill on the same schedule every period — hosting, a monthly support plan, a quarterly license — you can now set it up once and let SB Time Tracker draft the invoice for you. Find it under Invoices → Recurring Invoices.
How it works
Create a schedule for a company, pick how often it repeats — monthly, weekly, quarterly, or yearly — and add the line items to bill each time. On the schedule's day, a draft invoice appears automatically, ready for you to review and send.
- Anchored, and clamped sensibly. A monthly schedule set for the 31st bills the last day of shorter months (the 28th in February), so you never miss a period or double up.
- Runs exactly once per period. Even across restarts or a busy billing day, each period generates a single invoice — never a duplicate.
- Pause, resume, or end a schedule anytime. Resuming picks up from the next upcoming date, so a pause never back-bills the periods it skipped.
Hands-off, if you want it
By default each run creates a draft for you to review. Prefer it fully automatic? Turn on auto-finalise to finalise the invoice as soon as it's created, and auto-send to email it to the client with a pay link — which also puts it on the payment-reminder ladder without any extra steps.
Recurring invoices are available on paid plans, alongside the rest of the billing tools.
